Demesio, Ronaldo, Esther, Genesis, Teonila and Yeibeth just graduated high school. Two are from the Bugle tribe and five are from the Embera tribe.
They come from distant tribes outside the city. The government only supplies schooling up through sixth grade. If they would have wanted more education they would have had to live in an orphanage. Living in an orphanage would put them in closer proximity to middle school and high school. It’s just not available in the villages.
For many years now we have housed kids from the villages to be able to go to middle school and high school. As of now there have been 70 graduates. The students are fully sponsored and they live on the base.
We are so excited to see these seven new graduates encountering the love of Jesus and having the fantastic ability to graduate high school. Now that they have graduated all seven have committed to missionary training and to reach the unreached with the gospel.
What a great example of God‘s love taking someone without hope and allowing them to experience eternal hope and putting them in a position to bring that hope into the world.
